  The Revd Frances Arnold

The Revd Frances Arnold has been Vicar of Sawbridgeworth since January 2013. Her second name is Mary (after Mary Magdalene), so she is intrigued by the suggestion that the name Great St Mary’s might come from a misunderstanding of ‘S. Maria Mag.’ (short for great). Frances worked as a secondary school teacher and in museum education (an Anglo Saxon monastic site and farm in Northumbria) before her ordination in 2004. She was inspired to explore ministry when living in Durham, steeped in the stories of the Northern Saints. She moved south as a curate and has worked in parishes in Bedfordshire and Central London and in central church administration at Church House, Westminster. She is a Foundation Governor at Spellbrook CofE Primary (Great St Mary’s Church School) and a member of the Diocesan Europe Group. From mid-May to mid- August 2018, she will be on Extended Study Leave (sabbatical). She looks forward to sharing her experiences on her return.

Revd Debbie Hore

The Revd Debbie Hore has been Associate Minister here since 1st February 2017, having served at St. Paul's, Marylebone since 2004.  She was ordained a priest in 2016 and her service at St. Paul's was as a self supporting minister, 7 years as a reader, 5 as a distinctive deacon. She worked 3 days week for the 11 years as a statistical researcher in the Archbishops' Council. Her husband is Richard.
