Above the nave, there are three panels which contain the Ten commandments, the Apostles' Creed and the Lord's Prayer, made from silk-covered cardboard letters by two victorian teenagers in the Wiseman family. 

What better way to start a visit to the church than with the prayer that our Lord taught us to pray....

Our Father,
Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy Kingdome come,
Thy will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For Thine is the Kingdom
The Power and the Glory
For ever and ever, Amen.

This history pages are primarily about the building called Great St Mary's Church.
